Hot pad's!

oh my gosh.. how time has flown by since my last pattern was published. Life has been crazy, for everyone right now. covid-19 has really did a number around the globe. I hope that everyone is trying to stay safe right now. I have decided that it was time to make a few patterns while I have time off, and get a few projects started again since I have plenty of time on my hands.

I hope that you guy's enjoy this pattern, it's simple and very quick plus it looks really nice! This pattern is worked in fpdc and dc, so that way you have a little air flow that can cool your pan while its sitting on the table.
If you have questions or have found some mistakes please let me know :)

Materials:
H hook
ball of cotton yarn
needle to sew in ends

Stitches used:
mc: magic circle
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
fphdc: front post half double crochet
fptr: front post treble crochet

Special instructions:
The chain counts as one of the stitches.
one round will start off with a ch 3 and the next round will start with a ch 2, I do this because it seemed to stay more straight on the side that joins at the end of the pattern.
Join: you will join to the top of the chain, either the 2nd ch sp or the 3rd; depending on the round.

    1. mc, ch 3, dc, ch 2 *3 dc, ch 2* repeat 3x, dc. Pull circle closed. Join

    2. ch 2, fptr around dc, *[2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in ch 2 sp; fptr around dc, dc, fptr (it will be around the last dc to the corner)* repeat 3x; fptr around dc (the last st). Join.

    3. ch 3, fptr around post, dc in next dc, fptr (this will be around the last dc to the corner) *[2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in ch 2 sp, fptr around post, dc in next* (this is the first st on the next side of the square, every corner will be worked like these, post in the first and last dc in every side) repeat * to * 3x. repeat [ to ] one time, fptr dc, fptr. Join.
